OBITUARY:
Doris L. Davis, age 79, passed away on January 18, 2008. She was born January 19, 1928, in Cottle County, Texas, to Acie and Lydia Davis.  Doris married Murry A. Davis in 1945 and had three children.  Doris worked in the Port-land shipyards during WWII and was active in the Independent Order of Foresters.  She enjoyed square dancing and never stopped tapping her toes to the music. She also enjoyed bowling and bowled well into her 70's.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Murry Davis; her son, James (Paul) Davis; granddaughter, Tina Boothe; sons-in-law Robert Boothe and Lawrence Stander.  Doris is survived by daughters, Donita Boothe (Maple Valley, WA) and Carol Stander (Renton, WA); daughter-in-law, Clariette Davis (Centralia, WA); grandchildren, Kim Lawrence (Phoenix, AZ), Janell Barneburg (Crescent City, CA) and Chris Boothe (Maple Valley, WA); 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin Davis (Gresham, OR); sisters, Bernice Terry (CA) and Marie Gott (Portland, OR) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home located at 1401 S. Union in Kennewick, WA.

OBITUARY

Murry Arthur Davis, a long-time resident of Kennewick, passed away on May 12th in Tacoma, WA.  Born in Fargon, OK on Nov. 20, 1923, the eleventh child of James Lewis and Sarah Ana Davis. By 1928 Sarah and 7 children had passed away. In 1934 Lewis and his 6 children moved back to Sedgwick, KS, and resumed farming.  After graduation from Bently High School in 1943, he joined the US Navy and was stationed on the USS Ciamore until 1946.  In 1945 he married Doris L. Davis of Portland, OR, and had three children, Donita, Paul, and Carol. He worked for Reynold's Aluminum in Troutdale, OR.

In 1962 the aluminum plant closed down. The job market was tight in Portland and in 1963 the Davises moved to Kennewick, WA, where he worked for Sandvig Oldsmobile and John Deer Tractor before starting work for the US Post Office in 1966.  He liked hunting, square dancing, and long-standing member of I.O.F.  Murry is survived by his wife Doris of Tacoma, daughters Donita Boothe of Maple Valley, WA, Carol Stander of Renton, WA, and sister Annie Sands of Denver CO. He was preceded in death by 11 siblings, his son James Paul Davis and Son-in-law's Robert Boothe and Lawrence Stander. Four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  There will be a viewing for Murry on Tuesday the 17th of May at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union. There will also be a graveside service on Wednesday the 18th at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, corner of 10th and Union, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 at the Kennewick First Christian Church, corner of 19th Ave. and Olympia Street, Kennewick.
